Biography

Myriam Bontonou received her M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering (Imperial College London, UK) and engineering (Ecole Centrale de Nantes, France) degrees in 2018. She completed a research internship at MILA (Université de Montréal, Canada). In 2021, she obtained her PhD for her research on Machine Learning and its applications to Computer Vision and Neuroimaging (IMT Atlantique, France). She then worked as a postdoctoral researcher (ENS de Lyon, France) on the GraphNEx project in collaboration with EPFL (Lausanne, Switzerland) and QMUL (London, UK). She spent one year as a contractual associate professor with the DYLISS research team (Irisa-Inria, Université de Rennes, France). She is currently an associate professor at @OMICs (Inserm U1242 OSS, Université de Rennes, France). Her research interests include deep learning, machine learning, interpretability and graph signal processing, with a particular focus on functional genomics.
